FedEx Delivering On Christmas Day

Some people will be receiving Christmas presents later than usual. Due to severe weather in the Southeast, FedEx wasn't able to make all of its deliveries on Christmas Eve, according to CNN Money. This has resulted in the company vowing to delivery the late packages on Christmas day.

All FedEx Express locations will be open on Friday morning, according to the International Business Times. Working, however, is on a volunteer basis.

"FedEx is doing everything possible to get customer shipments delivered by Christmas in spite of slight delays due to heavier than planned last-minute shipment volumes and severe weather outbreaks in some areas of the U.S.," said FedEx spokeswoman Rae Lyn Rushing, according to CNN Money.

Customers who don't want to wait for their delivery will be able to go to any Express office and pick up their package themselves, according to CBS News.

But while FedEx is suffering due to the weather, its rival, UPS, isn't experiencing any delays, according to the International Business Times.

This isn't the first time FedEx wasn't able to make all of its deliveries by Christmas, the company in a similar position in 2013, according to CNN Money.

To find out whether or not their packages will be delivered on Christmas, customers can go online to fedex.com or call 800-463-3330, according to CBS News.
