The chemistry seems to have ended for rock band "My Chemical Romance" after a decade of producing some of the most visceral, dramatic rock and roll in recent memory. The band members have decided to go their separate ways.
Members of the band included vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. The official announcement of the breakup was posted on their website where the band thanked its fans for all their love and support.
"Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing," the statement read. "We've gotten to go places we never knew we could. We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure."
The band released their first album in 2002 "I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love." However, the band earned instant fame with their second album "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge." "Helena", a track from the album featured in the top-40 hits for a long time.
They released another platinum album in 2006 titled "The Black Parade," earning their first top-10 pop hit with the song "Welcome to the Black Parade." Their final album was 2010's "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys."
