Rafael Nadal plays Richard Gasquet on Friday in the quarterfinals of the 2013 BNP Paribas Masters. The match starts at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream HERE.
World No. 1 Nadal is on track to add an 11th trophy to his season. The Spaniard has been nearly unbeatable, a feat made even more impressive as Nadal started the year after missing seven months to recover from a knee injury.
Nadal, winner of the 2013 French and US Opens, hasn't yet dropped a set in the Paribas Masters. He defeated Marcel Granollers and Jerzy Janowicz to earn a spot in the quarterfinals, where he'll face World No. 10 Gasquet.
"(Friday), I'm playing against my friend (Gasquet) and it's going to be a great match but I'm really happy for him that he made it to the World Tour Finals," Nadal said, via Yahoo! Sports.
Gasquet advanced to the quarterfinals with wins over Fernando Verdasco and Kei Nishikori. For the Frenchman, knowing he has a spot in London next week has helped him relax in the Paris Masters.
"You can try to say you're not looking, that you will be concentrating on your own match, but I wanted to know because I was relieved when I knew I had qualified so I was not so tense for my match," Gasquet told reporters earlier in the week, via Reuters.
Nadal has won 11 of his 12 matches with Gasquet, who won their first meeting in 2003 when the Spaniard retired early. The two recently met in the semifinals of the 2013 US Open - Nadal won in three sets.
