'Sesame Street': HBO Shares First Trailer For Partnership With Sesame Workshop Featuring Tina Fey, Jon Hamm and Pharrell (VIDEO)

Earlier this year, HBO and Sesame Workshop announced that they made a five-year partnership to have the new seasons of "Sesame Street" premiere on the premium cable channel, and all our favorite characters, plus some familiar celebrity faces, are back in the first official HBO trailer for the new season!

The trailer features Tina Fey, Pharrell, Jon Hamm and even Tracee Ellis Ross in bed with Big Bird. The typical cheerful and energetic "Sesame Street" vibe is still there, and all of the best parts about the beloved children's show remain unchanged. "An irresistible season," the trailer reads. "Plus classic episodes."

"Our new partnership with HBO represents a true winning public-private partnership model," Sesame Workshop's CEO Jeffrey D. Dunn said in a statement back in August, as HNGN previously reported. "It provides Sesame Workshop with the critical funding it needs to be able to continue production of 'Sesame Street' and secure its nonprofit mission of helping kids grow smarter, stronger and kinder; it gives HBO exclusive pay cable and SVOD access to the nation's most important and historic educational programming; and it allows 'Sesame Street' to continue to air on PBS and reach all children, as it has for the past 45 years."

"We are absolutely thrilled to help secrete the future of 'Sesame Street' and Sesame Workshop's mission for the nation's kids and families," said Richard Plepler, Chairman and CEO of HBO, and Michael Lombardo, President of HBO Programming, in a joint statement in August. "Home Box Office is committed to bringing the most groundbreaking and creative shows to its audience. 'Sesame Street' is the most important preschool education program in the history of television."

HBO will premiere the 46th season of "Sesame Street" on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at 9 a.m.
