After last night’s episode of Scandal, it’s apparent President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) has a couple problems. One of them comes in the form of Josie Marcus (Lisa Kudrow) who is committed to becoming the next President of the United States.

In a recent interview with TVGuide.com, Goldwyn said his character needs to be weary of Marcus.

“Josie is a real threat,” Goldwyn tells the website.

Josie is a wild card because she is authentic,” he adds. “She may lack the grit required, but Fitz will need to be careful with her.

Despite the “threat” Josie poses, Fitz currently has a bigger problem and he doesn’t know it yet. At then end of last night’s episode Jake and Huck were about to reveal a pretty big secret to Olivia:

Fitz may have killed her mom.

The ultimate duo of Jake and Huck figured out the big secret with Operation Remington—Fitz was in Iceland, not Iran, and he helped take down a flight with civilians on it. One of the people on the flight was Olivia’s mother.

According to the preview for next week’s episode, Olivia wants Jake and Huck to give her more proof of what happened before she believes what they’ve found. She eventually gets fed up and decides to confront Fitz herself.

When asked by TVGuide.com if he thought this devastating news would mean the end of Fitz/Olivia, Tony Goldwyn said, “I would certainly think so.”

“But then again, it is Fitz and Olivia,” he added.

In the preview Fitz tells Olivia he has no idea what she’s talking about. Is it possible he doesn’t know he’s killed her mom? You can read Goldwyn's entire interivew with TVGuide.com here.

“Scandal” airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.
