‘X-Men’ Spinoff: ‘X-Force’ Characters Revealed?

Die-hard "X-Men" fans are surely familiar with the off-shoot team known as the X-Force. But what you may not be familiar with is the fact that 20th Century Fox hired Jeff Wadlow ("Kick-Ass 2") way back in 2013 to write and possibly direct an "X-Force" movie.

Since then, Wadlow has teased that his team will be composed of five members, noting that he is a fan of Deadpool, Wolverine, Cable, Psylocke, Domino and Colossus, but not confirming that any would be involved with his movie. In that same time, "X-Force" creator Rob Liefeld has praised his script on multiple occasions, saying it is "beyond impressive" and even highlights the "camaraderie between the team as they learn to cope and trust one another." Liefeld revealed that Cable and Deadpool were indeed in the film, though he is not present in the concept art featured below.

"X-Force" was originally supposed to be greenlit after "X-Men: Days of Future Past." However, the overwhelming positive response to the leaked "Deadpool" test footage put that plan on hold. Yet with "Deadpool" set to hit theaters in February, Fox is finally returning to this unique property.

ComicBook.com came across concept art from Gregory Semkow and Wadlow that features the "team's lineup in the script." For what it's worth, Semkow described the script as "freaking badass."

Based on the concept art, Wadlow's team consists of Cable (who was the team leader and Cyclops' son in the comics), Domino (probability changing powers, skilled fighter), Warpath (Native American with heightened senses and super strength), Cannonball (jet propulsion and force field powers) and a mystery final member.

The hooded female looks like Rogue (silver streak of hair), but is wearing fingerless gloves, a big no-no for someone who can sap the life force out of you just by touch. Could it be Psylocke or Hope Summers? We don't know.
