Benny is a cute pit bull who was living at the Carson Animal Care Centre in California. After weeks and weeks of waiting, he was finally adopted this month, and his reaction to receiving his red collar was adorable and heartwarming, said the Dodo. A normally very shy dog, he perked up and started jumping all over the place, seeming to wave goodbye to his fellow shelter-mates.
The real cuteness in the video showing Benny's adoption starts around 0:35, where we see his shyness start to melt away as he pieces together the fact that he gets to leave with his new owners.
Thanks to his new adoptive family, Benny has been given a second chance at a happy life. The Carson Animal Care Centre is a high-kill shelter, meaning its resources are very limited so many animals are killed if they are not adopted, according to the Dogs. This makes Benny's adoption extra lucky.
