There have been many obstacles and issues in the way of making the Caskett wedding happen. Get ready for one more—the press.
The press may not prove to be a major obstacle but it will be something Beckett has to deal with.
Executive Producer Andrew Marlowe tells TVLine.com, Alexandra Chando of “The Lying Game” will appear in an episode as a character similar to Miley Cyrus. This public figure will cause Beckett to reevaluate some things.
“We’re certainly playing with Beckett being a private person and not really wanting to deal with the engagement announcement [to the media],” he tells the website. “But a case comes up with somebody who’s very much in the public eye that gets Beckett to the point where she realizes she’s a private person but she’s in a relationship with somebody who’s a public person – so how does that affect them?”
Fans know by now the biggest obstacle to a Caskett wedding comes in the form of Alexis. Marlowe says that she and Beckett will soon talk it out.
“I think both girls are polite, so I don’t think fans should expect a yelling match,” he said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “We don’t like to go soap here — “You stole my father!” “You’re being immature!” I think we present a more sophisticated version that’s, hopefully, just as satisfying and moving.”
Despite whatever conversation Beckett and Alexis have, Stana Katic recently told TVLine (who plays Beckett) said Alexis' issues will have to be worked out between her and her father.
