Lea Michele, who posed for the cover of Elle's December issue opened up to the magazine about how she has been coping with boyfriend Cory Monteith's death. She revealed that she stayed at Kate Hudson's home post Monteith's passing to escape the media.
To the shock of friend, family and fans, Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead in a hotel few months back. His grieving girlfriend Lea Michele has been in the news ever since his death as everyone wants to know how she's coping with it all. The actress is trying hard to put on a brave face and concentrate on work.
Michele will be seen on the cover of fashion magazine ELLE's December issue. Though the actress has lost tons of weight post Monteith's death, she looks ravishing on the magazine cover in a white belted jacket and denim jeans with a chain waist belt. She revealed to the magazine that the past few months haven't been easy but Kate Hudson has helped her cope through the difficult time. The actress added that when she was looking for a place to escape the media and the public, Hudson opened her home to her.
"I called [Kate Hudson] and said, 'I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters],'" Michele told Elle. "She was like, 'Oh, you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me."
The two became good friends after Hudson made a special appearance on 'Glee' earlier this year. Apart from staying at Hudson's home, Michele said that she has been trying very hard to cope with Monteith's sudden death.
"I never thought I would be in this position in my whole life," Michele said. "Now that I am in this position, you can choose to rise, and that's what I'm going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people."
