Apple's Remote App Could Get an Update

Apple is reportedly gearing up to introduce a new update for its popular Remote app with a redesigned aesthetic look seen in iOS7.

Apple found itself in unexpected troubles with the launch of the new iOS7 mobile platform, but the efforts to fix the damages has been vigorous. The tech giant is not only fixing all the bugs with the new OS but is also in the process of redesigning its apps on iTunes. With several developers creating more unique apps, Apple has been rolling out updates to match the interface of the applications with the iOS7 design.

Apple Remote app is an iOS application that helps control Apple devices. The app was launched in 2008, and has remained widely popular among Apple users. Despite timely updates and smooth functioning, the app lacked a redesign. But that is about to change, as a promo ad appeared on Apple's Colombian iTunes Store showing a redesigned Remote iOS app.

The details on the update have been scanty, but the new promotional ad suggests that the redesigned mobile app will get an iOS7 like aesthetic look, according to ubergizmo. This could be a possible move for Apple, considering its latest mobile platform has been widely updated in most of the devices.

Apple had updated its Remote app in January and has since not made any changes to the app. The Cupertino giant, however, did update other apps like Apple's iWork and iLife suite for its iOS7 interface. In addition, Apple updated Podcasts, iTunes Movie Trailers and Find My Phone, but popular apps like iBooks, Find My Friends, iTunes U, and Remote awaits a refreshed design.

The current version of the Remote app can be downloaded for free on Apple iTunes.
