'League Of Legends' Season Six Meta Change Weakens AD Assassins

As we entered a new year, the "League of Legends" community gears up for the first competitive gaming of 2016 - the NA and EU Spring Split. EU will kick off its Spring LCS on Jan. 14 and NA on Jan. 16.

But of course, even during the preseason, gamers - whether professionals or hobbists - have been preparing and practicing for the changes brought about by the season six meta changes, as HNGN previously reported.

An enormous change in the play-style of marksmen impacted the game as the season six patch came through. Even the masteries and items were changed, and it has done much good to the game this season... almost.

While the gameplay and the style of marksmen have changed for the better, an unseen side effect of this is clearly felt by AD assassins lurking from the shadows which are highly dependent on skill bursts. The unintended side effect is brought about by the item change on the "Last Whisperer," which is something that a lot of AD assassins rely on for damage.

Items like the "Last Whisperer" gave champions total armor penetration before the Meta change occurred for the season six patch. Now, however, the item change has turned the damage scope from total armor penetration to only bonus armor penetration, lessening the champion's ability to kill the enemy champion, according to LeagueCraft.

This is a great deal of pain dealt to AD assassins everywhere and might cause a game change that will prioritize AP assassins over the AD ones. LoL players have the preseason to determine another item build for AD assassins in order to cope with the changes.
