‘The Forest,’ Golden Globe Awards And David Bowie – Week Ahead In Entertainment

It's officially award season. Everyday citizens and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will hand out their honors at the People's Choice Awards on Jan. 6 followed by the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 10.

Television returns from the midseason break and new shows starring Jennifer Lopez (NBC's "Shades of Blue"), Jane Lynch (CBS's "Angel from Hell") and Brandy Norwood (BET's "Zoe Ever After") hit the airwaves. Also look for the season premieres of fan favorites like "The Bachelor," "Teen Mom OG" and "New Girl."

At the movies, Natalie Dormer takes center stage in the new horror flick, "The Forest," which follows the story of a young woman who goes searching for her missing twin in a Japanese forest where people go to commit suicide.

And in music, David Bowie will celebrate his 69th birthday with the release of his 25th studio album, "Blackstar."
