The Patch news app has finally made its way to Android platform and the iOS version of the app has been updated for better user-experience.
Patch news app for mobile phones has had a huge impact on mobile platforms. The news and magazine app is now available for Android, while the iOS version of the app has been updated with new features. The app aggregates the latest local news, blogs and recommended posts. In addition, users can also comment on the news thread.
The news app automatically syncs with user's mobile device and brings the latest news around you in one place. The app is only available in the United States and needs an account or users can sign in with their Facebook accounts. Users can look at recently visited patches and find the latest news if visiting a new town. The news aggregator has around 900 Patch sites in the U.S.
In the latest update, iOS users can Scroll, Post and Share better. The app has been improved for users to scroll through the latest news, blogs, and other features in the app, swiftly. The app works with iPad and iPod too, according to the press release.
Apple users can also post updates, alerts, notes and more to the service. This makes it easier to share any information with the neighbors like a lost pet, or furniture sale, within seconds.
Currently, this feature is only available for Apple users and the company is promising to launch it on Android soon.
The Patch app allows commenting and sharing with just a single tap on any post. A small bubble in each post allows users to comment, a badge to recommend and an arrow to share. Users can share content outside the Patch boundaries, like on Facebook or Twitter.
The app is available for download for free on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
