On last night's episode of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Kandi Burruss' husband Todd Tucker finally settled his feud with her friend Phaedra Parks, but the drama escalated between Burruss and cast mate Porsha Williams, while Kenya Moore had a heart-to-heart with her father.
Tucker and Parks settled their feud
Parks and Burruss' friendship had a falling out after Parks hired Burruss' husband Tucker to produce a workout DVD for her in a previous season. Tucker accused Parks of not paying him for the work he did on her DVD, but Parks argued that she didn't owe Tucker anything since he has yet to complete her project. But, in an effort to mend things with her friend, Parks invited Tucker to her office so they could discuss the issue and they both settled on a solution: Parks will pay Tucker the $8,500 that she promised him after he holds up his end of the contract to finish her product.
"It's my name on this video," Parks said in her on-camera interview, "so I'll be the one to say when it's done and then Todd can get his check."
Burruss and Williams fought, then made up
DonJuan, an employee at Burruss' production company The Kandi Factory, boldly stuck his nose in his boss' business when he heard Burruss' pals Parks and Williams gossiping about her at her video launch party in the previous episode. DonJuan confronted Williams and told Burruss about what the ladies were gossiping about. Burruss didn't take kindly to the fact that her castmates were "chit-chatting" about her husband.
At cast member Cynthia Bailey's eyewear collection event, Williams pulled Burruss to the side to squash the drama, but DonJuan followed. Williams told Burruss that she didn't feel comfortable having a conversation with DonJuan present and walked away from the situation before she even had a chance to discuss things with Burruss. But Williams got a second chance when Burruss agreed to meet her for a lunch date. Burruss accused Williams of choosing Parks' side and Williams stood up for Parks, telling Burruss that Parks needs her friends now that Parks is raising her two young sons while her husband is away in jail. Williams was able to convince Burruss that they should support Parks and the women were able to settle their differences.
"At the end of the day, you got a baby coming, you'll be planning a baby shower soon," Williams told Burruss. "It's a lot of good, happy moments. I want to be a part of that, I wanna continue to be there for you and you for me."
Moore mended her relationship with her father, Ronald Grant
After expressing her desire to jump back into the dating scene in the previous episode, Moore decided to fix her longest "on-again, off-again" relationship - the one she shares with her father. Grant was in town and Moore reached out to him so that they could have a father-daughter heart-to-heart. Moore said that her relationship with Grant had been strained ever since she ran away from home at 12 years old, from Houston back to Detroit where she grew up. Grant was hurt that his daughter rejected him and the life he was trying to build for her. Because of that pain, he didn't speak to Moore for more than five years. After their talk, they agreed to leave the past in the past but the same could not be said for Moore's broken relationship with her mom.
"It's been really cathartic to have a real open conversation with my dad," Moore said in her on-camera interview. "I really wish I could have the same kind of conversation with my mother."
