Dwayne Johnson put Kelly Rohrbach through her paces before announcing her as the new CJ Parker in the "Baywatch" feature film. She rocked the slow motion running and proved her toughness against the Rock's hard hits. Plus, she can swim!
Rohrbach will play the role originated by Pamela Anderson in the "Baywatch" TV series. Johnson made the announcement in a series of short Instagram videos.
"A pleasure welcoming @kellyrohrbach to our #BAYWATCH family for the iconic role of "CJ Parker." Yes, she's a walking smoke stack but more importantly... she's smart, tough and funny. Just the way we like 'em. Get ready world, we can't wait to bring you our generation's #BAYWATCH! You'll have fun..." he captioned his final video (see all the videos below).
Beauty, brains and a burgeoning film career, Rohrbach is definitely a triple threat. She attended Georgetown University on a Division One golf scholarship and graduated in 2012 with a degree in theater. She then studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Sports Illustrated also named her Swimsuit Rookie of the Year in 2015 after only a year of modeling.
The Connecticut native recently starred in the CW Seed web series "The PET Squad Files" and will appear in Woody Allen's next film, premiering later this year.
She and Johnson will co-star alongside Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario when "Baywatch" hits theaters in 2017.
