The Melbourne Stars will take on the Hobart Hurricanes in the 21st match of the Big Bash League 2015-16 (BBL 05) on Wednesday at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The Hurricanes lost their previous game against the Melbourne Renegades by five wickets. Batting first, they had posted a paltry score 140. Skipper Aaron Finch's 60 off 39 balls and Chris Gayle's 40 off just 15 balls guided Renegades to an easy win over Hurricanes on Tuesday, according to Sydney Morning Herald.
The Stars, who are on a winning streak in the T20 league, will have to play the rest of the Big Bash League matches without key players James Faulkner, Glenn Maxwell and Scott Boland. The trio will join the Australian national squad for an ODI series against West Indies.
"I still think we've got a strong enough side. We bat deep enough and bowl deep enough that I think we'll be fine going into the last few rounds," Boland said on Tuesday, according to SBS.
"I'm sure we'll be fine. We've got some nice momentum going now and other teams are losing players as well - it's not just us," he added.
