United sits atop Group A with two wins, one draw and no losses. As the only side in the group without a loss, and only one point ahead of second-place Bayer Leverkusen, United is looking for another three points from the winless Sociedad.
"I feel we're playing better and getting some good results to go with it," said United boss David Moyes, via IB Times. "Long may that continue. I won't take anything for granted. I have a lot of respect for Sociedad. We have to play well if we're going to get those ten points, which will get us over the line."
With little chance of qualifying for the next round, Sociedad is all but playing for pride at this point. They've lost all three of their Champions League matches, although they've performed better in La Liga.
"If we do things right and get close to our game plan we can win," Sociedad manager Jagoba Arrasate told reporters. "This is the only thing on our minds. United have qualifications in their sights and are playing away from home so we don't know how they'll approach [the game]. We have to try to play our normal game and take the initiative."
United is without Darren Fletcher (illness), SB Nation reports. Daniel Estrada (ankle), Esteban Granero (knee), Diego Ifran (knee), Carlos Vela (suspension) and Markel Bergara (suspension) are unavailable for Sociedad.
