Oklahoma State Cowboys defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah has declared for early entry in the 2016 NFL Draft and made the announcement through his Twitter account thanking his coaches, family, and the university for helping him grow into a better player and man.
Ogbah is viewed as a late first-round to early second-round draft pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and he is one of the top talented defensive players on the board this year. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive lineman created havoc for opposing offenses in the Big 12 and recorded 16.5 tackles for a loss and 12.5 sacks his junior season. The talented Cowboys pass rusher is expected to have an immediate impact at the next level, and he could fit as a late first-round pick with the Carolina Panthers, according to ESPN's Todd McShay.
While Ogbah will prep himself to get ready for the draft process, another star collegiate player in Notre Dame's Jaylon Smith has yet to make the decision of whether he will enter the 2016 NFL Draft. Smith is considered by many one of the top linebackers in the upcoming draft, but he reportedly will undergo reconstructive knee surgery this Thursday after tearing his ACL and MCL in the Fiesta Bowl, according ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Smith was the 2015 Butkus Award winner for the nation's top linebacker, and it's unknown if the injury has affected his decision on whether or not he will enter the NFL Draft. Smith is likely to go off the board in the first 15 picks of the 2016 NFL Draft, and many still expect the talented Irish linebacker to apply for early entry.
