It appears as if the faux relationship between spies Elizabeth and Philip Jennings on FX's "The Americans" is a bit more real than we thought. Stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are reportedly expecting a baby together, according to Us Weekly.
"Keri is more than four months along," an insider told the outlet. Russell, a mother of two, divorced ex-husband Shane Deary in 2013 after seven years of marriage. "It's so exciting for them!" a source close to Rhys said of the news.
The two have dodged questions about their relationship in the past after a rumored on-set hookup. But Russell, 39, and Rhys, 41, finally appeared together as a couple at NYC's Public Theater in April 2014.
"The Americans" is currently filming its fourth season in which the couple are "always together and love roaming around New York," Us Weekly reports. "Matthew is really in love. They feel they should have always been together."
Rhys' camp did not respond to the magazine's request for comment.
While their respective characters do have real feelings for one another on the show, their relationship is more cerebral than emotional. "It's not this big, sweeping romantic movie where you have to be so in love and so beautiful and sexy," Russell said in Jan. 2014. "You're usually using the sexuality, at least in the spy end of it, to get something. So there is kind of a freedom in that, because it's kind of messier or more direct than that."
"The Americans" will return to FX in March.
