Donald Trump is known for getting into tons of public feuds with well-known people, and his latest opponent is actor Samuel L. Jackson. "The Hateful Eight" actor stopped by "Late Night with Seth Meyers" on Tuesday night and claimed not to know he had a "beef" with the GOP presidential candidate.
Trump claimed to not know who Jackson was after "The Avengers" actor told United Airlines' Hemisphere magazine that he was better at golf than Trump and claimed the billionaire cheated.
"I don't know @SamuelLJackson, to best of my knowledge haven't played golf w/him & think he does too many TV commercials-boring. Not a fan," Trump tweeted when he found out what Jackson told the magazine.
After Meyers shared Trump's tweet with Jackson, the actor said that me had met Trump "a lot" said that he even calls him on the phone and even reenacted a typical conversation with him, "Samuel L? The Don." "Who?" "The Don." "Oh, Mr. Trump."
Jackson then told the "Late Night" host that there were people who could confirm that he and Trump did in fact know each other.
"He called me one day," Jackson told Meyers. "'Are you busy today? You want to play golf? ... Well, I'm not going to play, but I've got a friend who wants to play' ... And when I got there it was President Clinton, who can also verify that Donald Trump knows me."
Jackson then added that he and Trump had also golfed with "Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson, who confirmed the story on his Twitter account.
"C'mon @realDonaldTrump you played Golf with @SamuelLJackson and me as well. we also had lunch together! shrimp and hot dogs. sound familiar?" Anderson tweeted Tuesday.
"If we can prove that Donald Trump is lying when he says he doesn't know you, this might be the thing that finally brings down his campaign," Meyers joked to Jackson.
