Thanks to their hit series "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" constant banter is something the Kardashian family never seems short of. Now the chattiest of the clan, Khloé, is getting her shot at holding the talking stick with a new talk show, "Kocktails with Khloé" .
For a family that seemingly always has an opinion and isn't afraid to share it, a talk show format and a Kardashian might seem the perfect match. Momager Kris Jenner attempted it in 2013 with "Kris," only to be met with cancellation after a 16-episode trial run - #fail.
"Kocktails with Khloé" promises to raise the talk show bar, focusing on those real conversations that happen when you hang with your friends - like you know, like pop culture, like fashion, like celebrity gossip and like more of what Khloé Kardashian does at home.
And before you ask yourself, "Isn't that what "Keeping Up" already does?" Kardashian is setting the record straight.
"I really think they're different because the "Keeping Up" show is just about me and my family," Kardashian told reporters Wednesday at the annual Television Critics Press Tour in Pasadena, Calif. while announcing the show.
"This is going to be interactive with different types of people from different walks of life," she added. "I want it to be really versatile; it's a little dinner party with about three or four different people. I still want the conversation to be really broad, gritty, honest and natural. It'll still be naughty and risqué, that's why we're doing it for late night because that's more me. I get to be vulnerable and what I talk about is honest."
While conversation is the driving force, the always opinionated Kardashian hopes that fun, honesty and the family and friends invited to join her chat-fest will keep viewers engaged.
"'Kocktails with Khloé' is so easy for me and such an organic fit," she explained. "I can feed off an organic conversation and these are the kind of fun dinner parties I tend to have at my house all the time. We play games; it's like having your standard structured dinner party where you are like, "How are you? What did you do today?" And [when you] play these fun interactive games, you get this silly element that so much more information comes out from."
During the press conference announcing her new talk show, Kardashian also took time to thank her supporters for their prayers and well wishes over the last few months, while estranged husband Lamar Odom batted health issues stemming from a drug fueled binge in Las Vegas.
"He's doing great," she revealed. "Because it's not my story to tell, I try to respect that and I want him to be able to tell that story. I'm just there to support and care for him, but he is doing amazing and I'm so proud of the strength that he has to fight this battle."
Kardashian also admits that topics like Odom will not be off limits during the run of the show making it an easy way for fans to "keep up with Khloé."
"I am kind of bantering with my friends, it does come up, because it's my life, so if someone is pulling a story from their life, it's so easy for me to throw one back at them. So far it's happened that I've been very conversational with that, but I'm not going to force it. That's how it's been so far."
Eight one-hour episodes of "Kocktails with Khloé" are set to premiere Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 10 p.m. and will air for eight consecutive Wednesday nights on the FYI Network.
