Topless Yoga Classes In Los Angeles, Part Of 'Free The Nipple' Movement

Los Angeles is ready for topless yoga, at Downtown Los Angeles' Astroetic Studios, who are having their first "Free the Nipple" yoga class on Wednesday, Jan. 20 and every Wednesday thereafter. Even better, the classes are in a candlelit loft with glass walls, overlooking the city. The classes will coast $20, and will be held at 8:00 p.m., according to Racked.

"You'll need to bring a mat, water and towel, but you will not need to bring a top," the Astroetic Studios site reads. "You will need to wear bottoms, however, and be at least 18 years old to join. The class is suitable for yoga practitioners of any experience level, and will also include sound bath meditation. The first class will feature a two for $30 special where you can bring along a pal, and there will be other specials throughout the first month."

"Free the Nipple" is a movement for women's rights, advocating the right to bare their breasts the same as men are allowed, according the LAist. Free the Nipple believes that since men and women both have nipples, women's nipples are unfairly sexualized and not allowed to be free.

Astroetic Studios describes themselves as "a community committed to uplifting others and dismantling the patriarchy" using "radical acceptance, body positivity and gender equality," says Breitbart.
