"Key & Peele" star Keegan-Michael Key has filed for divorce from his wife Cynthia Blaise.The 44-year-old comedian filed the paperwork on New Year's Eve to end his 17-year marriage, according to TMZ. The court documents state that the two separated in November 2015. They do not have any children together and he is asking the court to figure the spousal support at a later time.
Key and Blaise, who is an actress and Hollywood dialect coach, got married in December 1998, according to People. She appeared in several episodes of his award-winning Comedy Central show "Key & Peele," which ended this past September, and has worked as the dialect coach on big films like "Bad Teacher" and TV shows like "Miami Vice."
This news comes shortly after his comedic partner Jordan Peele asked his girlfriend and fellow comedian Chelsea Peretti to marry him in November after more than two years of dating, as HNGN previously reported. "My fiancé (lololol) @JordanPeele proposed to be last night during the family talent show lolol," Peretti tweeted at the time.
