The smartwatch was also capable of receiving notifications such as incoming phone calls, text messages and e-mail. Now, Pebble has offered an update to its smartwatch which will enable users to handle everything through their iOS notification settings.
The update on the smartwatch will bring users a new version of an iOS app and users will now be able to display notifications from any iOS apps and social networking sites like Twitter.
After installing the new iOS app on your iPhone and updating your smartwatch’s firmware, notifications on your iPhone’s lock screen will show up on the watch’s display also.
The new Pebble smartwatch is now also designed with a Bluetooth LE – the latest version of Bluetooth.
Aside from the new firmware and new features incorporated with the new smartwatch, Pebble has also announced a new version of the SDK. The new SDK 2.0 will permit third-party programmers to create applications for the smartwatch.
Other changes to the smartwatch include, an accelerometer to sense motion, apps can also now save data on the smartwatch which can later on be retrieved, and apps that run on Android or iPhone gadgets can now be transcribed in JavaScript code which will make it easier to write applications that will work on both platform.
