Castle Season 6 Episode 6 Review: Castle and Alexis Makeup Was Unrealistic; Why Couldn't We Hear the Important Converstation

Monday’s episode of Castle was the one many fans have been waiting for—the episode in which Castle and Alexis make up.

Based upon previews and descriptions it seemed this would be the episode father and daughter reconciled since they would be working on a case together.

The way in which Alexis forgave her dad seemed a little unrealistic as she just hugged him and forgave him after he comforted her during a panic attack. But then again the fact she was mad at her dad in the first place also rubbed me the wrong way.

Show boss Andrew Marlowe recently said we would see Alexis and Beckett have a much needed conversation.

“I think both girls are polite, so I don’t think fans should expect a yelling match,” he said in a recent interview with EW.com. “We don’t like to go soap here — “You stole my father!” “You’re being immature!” I think we present a more sophisticated version that’s, hopefully, just as satisfying and moving.”

Well, it definitely looked like Beckett and Alexis’ conversation was calm and collected. The reason I say “looked” is because we couldn’t hear the conversation. Why is that? Was it too much for the writers to have us hear what Beckett and Alexis said?

I will keep in mind that it’s possible we could hear the conversation later down the line.

Now that it seems everything is alright, my question is—Why would Alexis break up Caskett’s wedding?

“Castle” airs Mondays at 10/9c on ABC.
