Kristen Bell: 'Good Place,' New NBC Show, Features Actress Alongside Ted Danson

"House of Lies" star Kristen Bell and "CSI: Cyber's" Ted Danson will feature in NBC's upcoming comedy series, "Good Place," NBC announced on Tuesday, according to Variety. The network ordered the 13-episode straight-to-series comedy from Mike Schur, whose credits include "Parks and Recreation" and "Brooklyn Nine Nine," as HNGN previously reported.

Bell will continue to star alongside Don Cheadle in her Showtime comedy, a condition her deal with NBC was contingent on, according to Deadline. "House of Lies," is currently filming the finale for season five and has yet to be renewed for a sixth season.

As for Danson, CBS president Glenn Geller confirmed on Tuesday at the Television Critics Association press tour that "he would not be returning" to "CSI: Cyber" should the sitcom be renewed for a third season.

Bell has been signed on to play the role of New Jersey-based Eleanor, "who comes to realize that she hasn't been a very good person. She decides to turn over a new leaf by learning what it actually means to be 'good; or 'bad, and then trying to make up for her past behavior," under the guidance of Michael (Danson), whom she meets "through an unlikely set of circumstances," NBC stated, according to E!.
