Since the second half of season five, "The Walking Dead" has planted its central story within the Alexandria Safe Zone. But as we saw throughout the first half of season six, a happy ending there is an unlikely prospect. When the runaway hit show return next month, walkers will be running amok through the Alexandrian streets, which means a location change is all but an absolute.
Just take a look at the new promo images released by AMC.
Is that a radio dish or satellite? A pseudo-helicopter pad? Whatever it is, we haven't seen it before which means it likely does not reside in Alexandria. Many fans of the original comic believe it could be related to the Hilltop Colony, the likeliest candidate to become the next primary location for "The Walking Dead." It is here where fans can expect to meet Xander Berkeley's Gregory, a creepy villain from the source material. If one random, out of context image doesn't convince you (and we realize it might not), perhaps this will.
I'm no expert, but it seems like an RV is a clear indication of travel, similar to the first season. The photo doesn't appear to be taken from within Alexandria's walls, suggesting Rick and his crew are making yet another exodus. Man, these guys have had a rough go of it.
"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC for the second half of season six on Feb. 14.
