"Batman Vs. Superman" might have found their Dick Grayson in "Girls" Star Adam Driver.
According to The Wrap, the 29-year-old is in the lead to snag the role of Grayson, better known as his superhero persona Nightwing. Driver may star alongside Henry Cavill (Superman) and Ben Affleck (Batman) in director Zack Snyder's upcoming "Man Of Steel" sequel.
"A source tells TheWrap that at least two other actors may be in the mix to play Grayson, the Caped Crusader's former sidekick, who's been estranged from Bruce Wayne for years in the movie, according to Latino Review," the media site reports.
Driver has reportedly left an impression on the prodiction team and is the favorite for the role. According to The Wrap, the actor has served as a Marine after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
"Batman Vs. Superman" may also be searching for Wonder Woman or her alter ego Diana Prince, according to multiple reports. "Thor" actress Jaimie Alexander is rumored to be one of the frontrunners for the role.
"Jaimie Alexander last week set the Internet on fire when she said she met with Warners over the female role in the movie and just today, my pals from Schmoes Know just said that Olga Kurylenko screen tested. Remember folks, there are four ladies and so far we know of two," the Latino Review reports.
Alexander fueled the rumors when she talked to Forbes about the Wonder Woman buzz in "Batman Vs. Superman." Though she admitted the news is just speculation, but she was a fan of her character and wants to see the role done "with class."
"I'm a huge fan of Wonder Woman. I really think if this is the closest that we're ever going to get to Wonder Woman, then I'm proud to play Sif. I hope that other comic book entities can learn a lesson from Marvel in how to execute a female character the way it should be done." Alexander said. "I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it's done with class, I'd rather it not be done."
