"Bleach: Brave Souls," KLab's newest mobile game, has been officially released globally on iOS and Android devices. The game was originally released in Japan in July 2015 and has been downloaded more than 7 million times, according to GameSpot.
KLabs announced the global version in November, also accepting pre-registrations from interested fans, Anime News Network reported.
The game plays as a side-scroller as you carve your way through levels filled with monstrous hollows - demonic forms taken on by dead souls - and other enemies as you act out the epic tale of Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki and their friends in the story of "Bleach." Starting from the very beginning in Karakura Town, enjoy the popular story all over again.
The action is done in real-time, but the on-screen set-up features a convenient "Auto-play" option for the game's A.I. to play the game on its own. However, remember to keep an eye on the action, because the A.I. is not designed to switching characters or use special attacks when necessary. Every character has their own unique moves and soul trait, so link them with your team to boost your power, defense, recovery, etc.
The game features three gatchas that can yield common, rare, extra rare and ultra rare card (2* - 5*) version of everyone's favorite Soul Reapers, Visored, Arrancars, etc., as well as special accessories to aid players in battle. These gatchas require spirit orbs, which can be obtained through story mode, special and daily quests and via daily rewards for logging in. The game supports in-app purchases, but it is free-to-play, according to Tech Times.
A PvP system also allows players to test their progress and their mastery of their team against the teams of other players for a shot at earning large numbers of medals. These medals can then be traded for super strong 5* characters, experience crystals, enhancing items and premium summon tickets.
"Bleach: Brave Souls" has officially joined other popular anime mobile games "One Piece: Treasure Cruise" and "Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle," but mobile gamers are still waiting anxiously for an official "Naruto" mobile game. Hopefully one will be developed soon!
