Joey Feek, the terminally ill country singer and one-half of the husband-and-wife duo Joey + Rory, has been in hospice care since November battling stage four cervical cancer, as HNGN previously reported. But even though her condition has worsened recently, she still manages to keep a smile on her face thanks to her adorable 21-month-old daughter Indiana.
Joey's husband, Rory Feek, updated his blog "This Life I Live," where he has been chronicling his wife's battle with cancer in regularly posted updates. In his most recent post "Cheers" on Jan. 14, Rory gushed over his little Indy, whom he shares with his wife Joey.
"I don't know where Indy gets her personality from," Rory wrote in his blog post. "Joey says it's from me. I'm not sure I believe her. But no matter... one thing is for sure, our little one has one of the most expressive little faces I've ever seen."
He went on to explain that he took a trip to a department store to pick up some new outfits for his little one, because she's grown out of most of her things and she needed warmer clothes since the weather has been getting colder in Alexandria, Ind., where the family is currently staying. But he also picked up another outfit- an adorable red and white cheerleading outfit with the word "Indiana" embroidered across the front.
Rory dressed little Indy up in her new outfit and, "in a matter of minutes, Indy had her mama laughing out loud," he wrote. He posted pictures of the tot making silly faces and giggling, which made her mom laugh.
"I think our baby is continuing to cheer her mama on in her fight - the best way she knows how," he wrote. "By making her smile."
