Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and his rumored actress girlfriend Deepika Padukone walked away with 61st Filmfare Awards for best actor and best actress Friday night, according to IBNLive. Ranveer won best actor in a leading role (male) award for the recently released epic romance action movie "Bajirao Mastani," while Deepika bagged best actor in a leading role (female) award for "Piku."
Bollywood's megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who played the role of Deepika's father in "Piku," won the critics choice for best actor award, according to Firstpost. "Quantico" actress Priyanka Chopra, who played role of Ranveer's first wife Kashibai in "Bajirao Mastani," bagged best actress in a supporting role award.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali was awarded as the best director for "Bajirao Mastani." Sooraj Pancholi, who was recently involved in controversy over the suicide of actress Ziah Khan, got best debut male award for "Hero," while Bhumi Pednekar won the best debut female award for "Dum Laga Ke Haisha," according to The Indian Express.
