The Los Angeles Rams have already changed their team logo, and while the change doesn't seem that significant, there are plenty of more changes to come this offseason for the Los Angeles sports franchise. The Rams are trying to move the team to Los Angeles by May in time for organized team activities, if not sooner, according to NFL reporter Albert Breer.
To have the team there in time the Rams will reportedly construct a temporary/permanent facility and are already looking for a site north of L.A in Oxnard or Westlake, according to Breer. Whether or not the team is able to get the facility up in time, the Rams reportedly still plan to run it's draft and all associated events in their new city.
The Rams are also looking to build a state-of-the-art permanent facility as well and are hoping to have it ready by early 2018. The Rams will play at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum until Rams' owner Stan Kroenke's stadium in Inglewood is ready. The Inglewood stadium is expected to be ready by the 2019 season, and is consider "the stadium of the future for the NFL," said Rams executive Kevin Demoff, via The Los Angeles Times.
Kroenke seems to be sparing no expense in the plans for his extravagant stadium at the Hollywood Park Site, and the Chargers could still join them, as their future in San Diego looks bleak. The Chargers still have the option to join the Rams both as a tenant and as a partner, and they are reportedly expected to move to L.A. with the Rams. Plenty of changes are coming in the next few months for Southern California football, and the Rams are making all the moves necessary to start their future in L.A.
