FBI Arrests 'Scream Robber' From Top '10 Most Wanted' List

The suspect dubbed the "Scream Robber," who was placed on the FBI's "10 Most Wanted" list in December, becoming the 505th person to be placed on the list since its inception in 1950, was arrested by federal authorities, the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force revealed Friday evening.

The "Scream Robber," otherwise known as Myloh Jaqory Mason, 25, was reportedly arrested without incident at a Motel 6 in Thornton, Colo. He is suspected of carrying out two bank robberies in nearby Lakewood in recent months, according to Fox's Denver affiliate KDVR-TV.

The first robbery occurred on Sept. 30, when Mason and two other suspects allegedly wore costumes and masks from the movie "Scream," a horror film released in 1996, earning him the nickname "Scream Robber." During the robbery, he allegedly told bank tellers they would die if they didn't open the vault, the FBI said.

The second robbery occurred on Nov. 18, when Mason and the two other suspects robbed another bank in the area while wearing bright green and white skeleton masks, reported Reuters. During the robbery, he made threats similar to the ones he made in the first one and later went on to shoot two bystanders as he made his escape.

Mason was arrested on charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, attempted second-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault and second-degree assault, the FBI said. He also faced a federal charge of a convicted felon in possession of a ballistic vest.

"The capture of this dangerous felon means our community is safer, because we believe Mason would have continued committing violent crimes while he was on the run," FBI Denver Division Special Agent in Charge Thomas Ravenelle said in a statement.

It is unclear whether the other suspects have been captured.

Before his capture, there was a $100,000 reward for any tips leading to Mason's arrest.
