Sony is reportedly working on a new flagship smartphone that features a metal frame identical to the current Xperia Z1 model. The unnamed smartphone is set for release early next year.
Smartphone companies can only survive if the innovation never stops flowing. Most of the leading companies such as Samsung, Apple, LG and others have proved their efforts time and again by bringing a revolution in smartphone technology. Curved displays, fingerprint scanning technology, customizable outlooks, high-resolution screens, DSLR like cameras are some of the improvements the world has been introduced to in recent months. This poses a greater challenge for companies that are slipping through the charts due to lack of innovation. While it would be blunt to say that Sony has been slowly falling into that category, but the year 2015 is likely to turn the tables in its favors.
Sony has impressed many of us and lived up to our expectations in delivering world class products. Latest leaked pictures reveal that Sony is playing safe with the next iteration of its Xperia flagship smartphone. The mysterious smartphone is likely to launch early next year.
Leaked images reveal that the unnamed Xperia smartphone is identical in shape and size to Xperia Z1. The metal frame, found in the leaked images by a Chinese website CTechCN, suggests the camera will feature a bigger LED flash unit. This could mean the phone will adapt the improved low-light picture quality. But that is yet to be revealed.
Besides slight changes on the top and the bottom side of the device, the regular buttons and slots take the same place as they do in Xperia Z1. The bottom part of the panel features three holes for the microphone.
With these sketchy features, we may assume that Sony is bringing a new revolution in the software end of the phone. Before Sony introduces its mysterious smartphone, it is likely that the company will announce its Xperia Z1S, this week. I guess we will soon find out what Sony has in store for us in its next flagship smartphones.
