Rock Band 'Yellow Dogs' Band Member Kills Band-mates Before Shooting Himself (VIDEO)

A member of the Yellow Dogs, a rock band from Iran, allegedly shot and killed three of his bandmates before killing himself early Monday morning in the East Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, the Associated Press reported.

The members are all from Tehran, Iran and were granted political asylum by the United States government and have been living in Brooklyn since, according to the New York Daily News.

The members Sorouch Farazmand, his brother Arash Farazmand, and Ali Eskandarian were shot inside 318 Maujer street, the Daily News reported. A 22-year-old man was also present and was shot in the right arm and elbow. He's currently in stable condition at Elmhurst Hospital.

Police arrived on the scene after hearing shots on a block filled with row houses doubling as recording studios in an area known for its artistically immersed residents.

The three victims were found on the second and third floor of the house, and the shooter was found on the roof with the gun and one shell casing which authorities believe to be the shot he fired on himself, the Daily News reported.

The suspects' identity has not yet been confirmed, but is thought to be the fourth member of the group who authorities speculate had been kicked out of the band after selling equipment, the Daily News reported.

The New York Times reported the gunman did not force his way inside the home and climbed up the stairs shooting on the second and third floor before continuing up to the roof, where he proceeded to shoot himself, authorities reported. He used an assault rifle.

Two other people are suspected of being home during the time of the shooting and ran into a bathroom the suspect appears to have shot at, but neither were injured, according to the Daily News.

A neighbor who lives a couple doors down from the house were the murder-suicide reportedly occurred said he knew the band members and would sometimes listen to them from the street.

"They're always playing music, I sit outside and listen to them. Pretty good stuff," Marcus Durant, a 56-year-old electrician told the Times.

The victims' identities were withheld pending family notification, the AP reported.
