On tonight's episode of MTV's "Teen Mom OG," Farrah Abraham and her 6-year-old daughter Sophia fly to Missouri to meet up with the family of Sophia's deceased father and (Abraham's late boyfriend) Derek Underwood. But on the drive from the airport, Abraham shares an anecdote about Underwood with Sophia and the little girl pleads and begs with her mom for a dad - and her mom breaks down in tears.
Abraham gets in a car with her daughter after arriving in Missouri andd as they drove in a direction of a rock quarry, Abraham tells Sophia a story about how she used to go to the quarry with Underwood while they dated in high school. The teens would jump from the quarry into a body of water with tadpoles.
"I wish daddy Derek didn't die though," the little girl said.
Underwood passed away in December 2008 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, after the teen was involved in a car crash with another friend, according to local news station KCCI 8 Des Moines. Sophia was born two months later and never had a chance to meet her father.
Sophia changed the subject to Abraham's latest ex-boyfriend Simon Saran, whose on-again, off-again relationship with Abraham officially ended in a previous episode.
"Why did Simon not be my daddy?" Sophia asks.
"Simon and I are broken up," Abraham explains to her daughter, and Sophia responds with a whine and a frown.
"But I want a daddy," she says. "I want a daddy now."
"I'm sorry that daddy Derek passed away," Abraham tells her daughter. "It was out of your and my hands, and everyone else's and we're dealing with this like we should. I love you."
Sophia started chanting "daddy" and "I want a dad" until Abraham tells her daughter to stop. "It makes mommy sad," Abraham says as she wipes tears from her eyes.
