Kpop: Kara Breaks Up, Hara Joins KeyEast, Seungyeon Reportedly Goes To Widmay And Youngji Cries

It's the saddest month in nine years for Kamilias, but it looks like everyone's moving on, including former Kara members Hara and Seungyeon.

On Jan. 15, DSP media announced that Hara, Nicole, and Seungyeon are leaving DSP Media -- ending the nine-year reign of one of Kpop's most cherished girl groups, reports Soompi.

The parting of ways was benevolent, and DSP Media asked fans to continue to shower the girls with love as they begin life after Kara.

Seungyeon reportedly signed with Widmay Entertainment to flourish her acting career. The former main vocalist has embarked on acting projects before, in between Kara promotions.

Hara, on the other hand, was confirmed to have joined KeyEast Entertainment. While KeyEast has not spoken about its game plan for Hara, rumor has it that Hara, who now promotes as Guhara, will be an actress in Korea and a singer in Japan. KeyEast has used the same promotion tactics with its other artists, reports AllKpop.

Gyuri's camp has been silent on her future plans.

Meanwhile, Youngji, who is still with DSP Nedia, shed tears on the TV show "CEOs Next Door." The former maknae talked about her family and how they back her up when she's facing difficulties.

DSP Media says it will do its best to promote Youngji as an artist following Kara's disbandment.
