Jace Alexander: 'Law & Order' Director Pleads Guilty To Child Pornography Charges

Director Jason "Jace" Alexander pleaded guilty to child pornography charges. The 51-year-old television director, who is best known for his work on "Law & Order," pleaded guilty Tuesday to two felony charges for promoting and possessing child pornography, according to People. One charge was for promoting a sexual performance by a child and the other was for possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.

He was first charged in July 2015 when the Westchester County district attorney's office discovered child pornography linked to the IP address of his home computer in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. At the time, they examined his computer and external hard drives and found digital files of underage children engaging in acts of pornography. He was then accused of "possessing and file-sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children less than 17 years of age," as HNGN previously reported.

Alexander was released on $10,000 bail, but could now face up to seven years in prison, according to the Journal News. He is reportedly expected to receive probation and is scheduled to be sentenced May 3.

The TV veteran has directed several hit shows, including "The Blacklist," "The Tomorrow People," "Raising Hope," "Lipstick Jungle," "Royal Pains," "Rescue Me," "Burn Notice," "The Practice," "Ally McBeal" and "Lizzie McGuire," according to Us Weekly. He is the son of Tony Award-winning actress Jane Alexander, and has directed more than 32 episodes of "Law & Order."
