Rihanna released the first single from her highly-anticipated new album "ANTI" Wednesday morning. The tracked, titled "Work," features rapper Drake and debuted on Tidal, followed later by Apple Music and iTunes.
The song was teased earlier this month by both Drake and Rihanna, who previously collaborated on single's such as his "Take Care" and her "What's My Name." The two reportedly already shot the music video for the song last month in Los Angele, according to Rolling Stone.
Rihanna first announced that she was working on new songs for her eighth studio album all the way back in October 2014. The album was pushed back multiple times, with release dates all rumored for September 2015, November 2015 and December 2015, E! News reported. The singer seemed close to releasing the album when she dropped three singles, "FourFiveSeconds," featuring Paul McCartney and Kanye West In January 2015, "Bitch Better Have My Money" in March 2015 and "American Oxygen" in April 2015, but still no album.
"Work" was released amid rumors that "ANTI" will finally arrive this week, according to Billboard. This is the longest amount of time that Rihanna fans have had to wait for a new album from the singer. She has not released an album since "Unapologetic" arrived in November 2012.
