The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in Ohio State wide receiver Braxton Miller and currently view him as a second round pick, according to Draft Insider's Tony Pauline. Miller has become one of the most talked about players at this year's Senior Bowl and has impressed many scouts with his play during practices.
Miller has developed into one of the top receiver prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft class but originally was a quarterback at Ohio State. The Buckeyes' coveted receiver made a switch from the quarterback position prior to the season and was Ohio State's third leading receiver with 26 receptions for 341 receiving yards and scored three touchdowns.
Miller has said that tries to emulate Steelers' wide receiver Antonio Brown and has not second-guessed his decision to switch positions. The Steelers already have a talented receiving core with Brown and Martavis Bryant but could look to add another dynamic weapon in Miller.
Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley said he didn't want to interview for other coaching positions, as he likely wanted to help the Steelers offense take it to another level in 2016. Haley's passing attack is one of the best in the game with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and it's not out of question to think the Steelers could use a second round pick on the Buckeyes wide receiver.
Miller suffered a right calf cramp in Thursday's practice at the Senior Bowl but is expected to play in Saturday's game, according to Chase Goodbread of College Football 24/7. It will be interesting to follow Miller as it gets closer to the 2016 NFL Draft, as his draft stock has already clearly risen just since the start of this week.
