Justin Lookadoo: Christian Motivational Speaker Offers Teens Controversial Dating Tips; ‘Girls Shut up and Let Men Lead’

A Richardson High School assembly is being labeled the worst assembly ever. The Texas school asked a Christian motivational speaker, named Justin Lookadoo, to give the high schoolers a lecture on dating, the Dallas Observer reports. Prior to the assembly taking place parents searched Lookadoo's website and were stunned about the "dating advice" he had featured.

Lookadoo, who co-authored two faith-based dating books "Dateable: Are you? Are they?" and "The Dateable Rules," had two lists of rules he believes guys and girls should live by if they want to find love.

On one list, titled "Dateable girls rules," he tells females that "A Dateable girl isn't Miss Independent" and "Let him lead. God made guys as leaders." He also thinks girls should "be Mysterious. Dateable girls know how to shut up."

Some other tips he had: "Dateable girls... let him do guys things, which means they don't ask him out!!!" Lookadoo also had some tips for boys including "Being a guy is good... They are stronger, more dangerous and more adventurous and that's okay." Also: "Men of God are wild, not domesticated... They fight battles, conquer lands and stand up for the oppressed."

According to the newspaper, the speech wasn't supposed to have any "faith-based doctrine or direct reference to the rules" but students posted on Twitter that they felt like the lecture was a "rant against women."

"I am extremely troubled by the fact that Richardson High School would bring in an 'expert' speaker who holds the dangerous, misogynistic views that advance a rape culture such as those expressed on his website," parent Dr. Jaime Calrk-Soles told the paper.

"What are we mad about?! I love being called a vindictive, evil, creature! Someone boss me around because I have ovaries!" @stephens_sydney tweeted.

"Don't you guys just love listening to sexist comments, irrational comparisons and blunt stereotypes w/o actual proof or evidence?" @ggtheg posted.

"So he's compared girls to dogs, cars... What other demeaning/objectifying comparison will we see next?" @MidAbsentia wrote.

Students also said several teenagers walked out of the assembly early while others stayed just so they could confront Lookadoo.
