Hilary Duff Confirms She's No Longer With Mike Comrie On 'Ellen' (VIDEO)

Hilary Duff has officially confirmed that she's back on the market. The 28-year-old actress appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Friday to show off her purplish-pink hair and promote her show "Younger," which just got renewed for a third season. While talking about her hair, which is constantly changing colors, Duff explained how her 4-year-old son Luca Comrie was mad that she didn't dye it "full rainbow."

"I was like, 'This took five hours, OK?'" she told the host, explaining that he's not interested in copying her crazy hair colors any time soon. "He's not such a risk taker like that. I asked if he wanted to."

Duff shares custody of her son with her ex-husband Mike Comrie, whom she filed for divorce from in February 2015. The two have continued to co-parent Luca, but Duff confirmed to DeGeneres that they are no longer together. The host praised the exes for "doing it right" following their split and continuing to be there for their child.

"You're friends and raising your son," DeGeneres said. "And it's very friendly, and I think that's the way it should be."

"We have such a great kid, and we're both so obsessed with him," Duff explained. "We are good friends and we laugh a lot and we have a great communication. We share pictures and tell stories when one is not with Luca. Yeah, he's great. We are great and we keep on trucking."

At the time of their divorce, they agreed that they would continue to be there for Luca and even spent time in couples therapy to try and work on their relationship, but Duff has made it clear that she is single.

"Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided to an amicable separation," her rep said in a statement at the time. "They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time."
