Brittany Murphy Death Update: New Lab Report Claims Actress Died from ‘Possible Poisoning’ Not Natural Causes

A new toxicology report reveals that actress Brittany Murphy did not die from natural causes. The 32-year-old actress was found dead in her home by her mother on December 20, 2009. At the time the Los Angeles Coroner's office ruled her death as "natural causes" from pneumonia and anemia.

Her mother and husband had suspicions about her sudden death. Five months later, Murphy's husband Simon Monjack was also found dead from the same causes. Now years later, Murphy's father is launching his own investigation into his daughter's death and a toxicology report recently released sates that the "Clueless" star might have died from possible poisoning 'by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent."

Murphy's father Angelo Berlotti obtained samples of the actress' hair, blood and tissue and had them tested for "heavy metals and toxins," the Daily Mail reports. The lab reports were conducted by the Carlson Company in Colorado state and claims that "ten (10) of the heavy metals evaluated were detected at levels higher that the WHO [The World Health Organization] high levels. Testing the hair strand sample identified as 'back of the head' we have detected ten (10) heavy metals at levels above the WHO high levels recommendation. If we were to eliminate the possibility of a simultaneous accidental heavy metals exposure to the sample donor then the only logical explanation would be an exposure to these metals (toxins) administered by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent."

According to the Daily Mail, heavy metals are found in insecticides and rodenticides hinting that Murphy might have been given rat poisoning. At the time of her and husband's death, both had reportedly showed signs of someone who was suffering from heavy metals poisoning like: headaches, abdominal cramps, dizziness, wheezing, coughing, disorientation, pneumonia and congestion.

"Vicious rumors, spread by tabloids, unfairly smeared Brittany's reputation," her father told Examiner. "My daughter was neither anorexic nor a junkie, as they implied. I will not rest until the truth about these tragic events is told. There will be justice for Brittany."
