In last week’s episode of “The Originals” Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) renewed their old family tradition of being at odds with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Judging from the conversation Elijah and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) had in the cabin, Elijah will still be loyal to his brother on some level.
Rebekah on the other hand is stuck between Klaus, her brother and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), her lover. Last episode she sided with Marcel and decided to find a way to take out Klaus permanently (or as close to permanently you can get when dealing with an original hybrid). As many fans of “The Vampire Diaries”/“The Originals” fans know, alliances always change. Rebekah may be no different and, as Claire Holt points out, fans are going to see her character “struggle.”
"Rebekah wants to be loyal to her family, but struggles. She loves Marcel, but struggles with that relationship," she tells EOnline. "I really think it's a confusing time for her and she isn't sure what she wants and she's easily swayed by people, which we will see."
According to the preview for Episode 8, the war between Klaus and Marcel is about to begin. Marcel has rounded up his vampires and Klaus has—well Klaus seems to be by himself as usual.
Judging from the preview, maybe he should have gotten some allies since he ends up in chains. How long do you think Klaus stays captured? How long will Rebekah stay aligned against her brother?
“The Originals” airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
