George Zimmerman Arrested for Pointing Shotgun at Reportedly Pregnant Girlfriend During Fight (911 CALL)

George Zimmerman was arrested and charged with assault and battery for reportedly directing a long-barreled shotgun at his new girlfriend's face on Monday.

Zimmerman, who was acquitted this year for the murder of teenager Trayvon Martin, is currently being held in the Seminole County Jail in Sanford, Fla. He's been charged with felony aggravated assault, domestic violence battery and criminal mischief for pointing a firearm at his girlfriend, who is allegedly pregnant. He'll be held in jail without bail until he makes his scheduled appearance in court on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. EST.

Chief Deputy Dennis Lemma told the Associated Press that Zimmerman pushed girlfriend Samantha Scheibe out of the house, boarded up the door with heavy furniture, and kept her outside.

The police report on the event stated that Scheibe and Zimmerman were engaged in a fight when the girlfriend said that Zimmerman broke a table with a shotgun and pointed it in her direction "for a minute."

At 12:30 EST, Scheibe called the police from her home in Apopka, Fla, located 15 miles north of Orlando.

According to the 911 call, the woman is heard informing law enforcement that Zimmerman was "inside my house breaking all my [things] because I asked him to leave."

She then says to someone else, "I'm doing this again? You just broke my glass table. You just broke my sunglasses and you put your gun in my freaking face and told me to get the [expletive] out."

The other person in the house is heard urging her to calm down, but moments later, she says that the man shoved her out of the house and locked the door.

A separate 911 call was made, according to CNN. The man who phoned law enforcement said he was calling to report that his girlfriend was, "for lack of a better term, going crazy on me," while chucking his belongings out of the house.

When police arrived at the scene, Scheibe handed them a spare key, but police could not immediately gain entry until they pushed the furniture shoved up against the door out of the way. When they did make it inside, Lemma said that Zimmerman was sitting down, unarmed. He was reportedly "passive and cooperative."

Scheibe told the cops that Zimmerman had a shotgun, an AR-15 rifle and two handguns in her house. The two have allegedly been together since August.

In the past year, Zimmerman has had multiple run-ins with the law, including a domestic dispute with his estranged wife, allegations that he stole furniture from his mother-in-law, and the heavily-covered Trayvon Martin case, in which Zimmerman shot and killed an unarmed Black teenager who was walking through his neighborhood.

"Just when you thought you heard the last of George Zimmerman," neighbor Catherine Cantrell said to AP.
