On the Friday night (Feb. 5) episode of WE TV's hit reality TV series "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars," former "The Bachelor" hunk Sean Lowe and his wife Catherine take part in an intense therapy session led by camp directors and relationship counselor husband-and-wife duo Jim and Elizabeth Carroll. In a sneak peek of tonight's episode, obtained by Us Weekly, Sean and Catherine take turns opening up to one another about their fears and insecurities.
Sean and Catherine go back and forth opening up about their deepest fears and insecurities, with Sean admitting to his fear of failure and his disappointment with losing a business and Catherine admitting that she still has hatred towards her father for leaving her when she was younger and that she harbors jealousy towards other women. Counselor Elizabeth asks Sean about his thoughts on what his wife revealed.
"It breaks my heart," Sean tells Catherine. "You're a beautiful woman and if I could have been your father, I would have told you how pretty you were every single day and I would have never left you."
Counselor Jim interjects and asks the couple to each take turns reflecting on how those fears and insecurities hurt their spouses.
"I have hurt you because we're constantly surrounded by other women," Catherine tells Sean, "and I hate that I put on you sometimes how much I'm insecure about it."
Sean tells Catherine that he realizes he can invalidate her feelings sometimes and he understands that it makes her feel unheard or alone.
"I think this drill really forced me to recognize that I have a tendency to invalidate Catherine," Sean says in his joint on-camera interview with his wife. "So moving forward, I can make steps to stop doing it."
"Hopefully we don't have to deal with it again," Catherine says, and Sean agrees.
