"The Good Wife" showrunners Michelle and Robert King wanted their CBS drama to run seven seasons and they will get their wish. The remaining nine episodes will complete the Emmy-nominated series.
CBS confirmed the show's finale during its broadcast of Super Bowl 50. The news seemed imminent after the Kings announced their exit last month and Julianna Margulies also stated she would be "unemployed" come April.
"The Good Writers" also confirmed the show's long-term plan since its premiere in 2009 in a series of tweets on Sunday night.
