California Plane Collision: 2 Bodies, Debris Found After Aircraft Collision Off California Coast (BREAKING)

Divers in California continue to search for the third and final victim of a midair plane collision that occurred on Friday off the coast of California.

On Sunday, authorities recovered two bodies off the California coast, along with debris of a small plane after a midair collision that is believed to have killed three people. The two of the victims' remains were discovered by divers two miles away from the Port of Los Angeles. The bodies were located 105 feet below the surface using sonar technology, Fox News reported.

The identities of the bodies are yet to be determined while divers continue to search for the last victim Monday morning, CNN reported. The collision transpired last Friday in San Pedro, Calif., a community located south of Los Angeles. It involved a Citabria plane piloted by a 72-year old woman believed to be Mary Falstrom of Torrance, according to the Associated Press. Her plane hit a Beech 35 Bonanza craft carrying two men ages 61 and 81 years old, who authorities initially identified using a log book discovered from the wreckage. The pilots were considered experienced.

While the medical examiner has yet to announce the name of the victims, Falstrom was already reported missing by her husband who said his wife went flying to enjoy the sunny weather. "She loved flying. It was a passion," Rich Falstrom told The Associated Press. The coroner is expected to officially confirm the identities of the victims in the coming days.
