Britney Spears' newest and self-proclaimed most personal album yet has slowly been leaking, her latest single "Alien" having leaked weeks before her album release, and now deluxe edition bonus track "Brightest Morning Star," along with several new song snippets, have hit the net early.
Featuring the lyrics, "You're my light when it gets dark, you're always in my heart, you're my brightest morning star," "Brightest Morning Star" is a sparkling love song, while "Body Ache" is an uptempo dance track reminiscent of Spears' hit album "Blackout," much to the excitement of her devoted fans.
And while many were excited to hear "Alien" recently, which some suspect reflects on Spears' very public meltdown in 2007, producer William Orbit took to Twitter to clarify that the leaked version was the "wrong version" of the song.
"It's the wrong version of 'Alien' that's out there," he tweeted Monday, Nov. 18. "Right song, but had wrong chorus notes, (now fixed) on THE version."
"Britney Jean," Britney Spears' eigth studio album, is set for Dec. 3 release, right before the 31-year-old star begins her two-year Las Vegas residency show at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
While Spears has not heavily promoted her latest album, she has spoken positively about it the project, which features guest vocals from her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, T.I. and will.i.am. The album's lead single, "Work B***h," debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, while "Perfume" debuted at No. 76.
