Twitter Updates App with Experimentation Mode Feature

Twitter has updated its app and added a full experimentation mode feature.

In the social networking site's latest app update, a number of features have been added. However, it depends on which experimental group you are in.

When looking for a specific tweet, search results can now be filtered using a variety of media types like photos, videos, news, and people. You can also choose to see all kinds of tweets, which gives you more recent tweets, or just "top" tweets, which are often older.

This filtering ability would be a great help for Twitter users who do research in the social site.

When searching instead of coming up with results from all the sides of the world, you can now opt for tweets with local content. According to Techcrunch, "the local content being surfaced is a good touch, as that's part of what could get people outside of the ‘technorati' to see value in Twitter."

With the latest update, users can now also see trending TV objects and series in the "Discover tab." However, the TV trends are placed at the latter part of the list of other content in the "Trending" section.

Another change made is that the new compose view will ask for the users if he or she is near a location and attach it to their tweet.

‘Per cel' swipe gesture seems to be out of the picture already but some Twitter users say that swipe gestures not allow them to move from timeline, connect tabs and discover tabs.

Based on what is seems to be a number of factors including the frequency of direct messages, interaction, and other important things, Twitter will give users a quick list of potential conversation starters.

There are a lot of interesting changes carried out by the social networking site and surely, the reconstruction wouldn't just end here. Why don't you update and see for yourself.
